Derek loves the snow and he carries around his snow boots and cries, "GO, GO" until we take him out into the snow!! He loves it!!
Derek also loves to steal Kurtis' socks and then run around the house with them. Derek loves to be chased! He is getting really fast!
Derek also likes so eat all of time!! And the best part is when he shares his partly eaten food... yumm.
Finally Derek loves to take apart the Christmas tree and dance with the ornaments!! This guy has got some serious moves!
Santa is scary!! Derek was not a fan! Our ward had a Christmas breakfast this morning and Santa came to visit. Lets just say that Derek did not like it. He was fine if he sat on my lap but not Santa's! Maybe next year.

Derek loves his touchy-feely books! He gets them off the shelf and then sits down and flips through the pages and touches all of fun stuff. When I read him a book that is not touchy-feely he still tries to find something to touch it is super funny.
Derek looks crazy happy in this picture! It makes me laugh! Also, that night for dinner I made deep dish pizza. And it was the best! If any of you want the recipe I will post it!
Kurtis decided that it was time to clean out our shed in the back yard. Anytime Kurtis is willing to get rid of junk I am excited! He is a big pack rat! Derek thought that he should help his dad de-junk!!

Derek had an awesome first birthday! Lots of food, fun and family!! My parents were able to come up from Oklahoma to visit and celebrate Derek's first birthday!! He loved the cake and the attention!
